TEAMS
RULES
1. Teams must have 6 players on the court. There must be 3 females and 3 males.
2. Substitutions may enter the game only during timeouts, or in the case of an injury.
3. The boundary lines will be marked by cones, as well as the center line.
4. During play, all players must remain inside the boundary lines. Players may pass through their end line only to retrieve stray balls.
5. Players may not have any of their body contact the playing surface on or over the sideline or across the centerline onto the opponent's side.
6. A 10-minute time limit has been established for each game. Teams will play best of 5 games. The team to win three games will be declared the winner.
7. Each team is allowed a 60-second timeout per game.
8. The first team to legally eliminate all opposing players will be declared the winner. Players switch sides before beginning the next game.
9. Rules will be enforced primarily through the honor system. Players will be expected to rule whether or not a hit was legal or they were legally eliminated.
10. An out is scored by:
a. Hitting an opposing player with a live thrown ball below the shoulders (if a player ducks, the player is out and the throw is legal)
b. Catching a live ball thrown by an opponent.
c. An opposing player steps out of bounds (A ball deflecting off a held ball and striking the holder is no longer a live ball.
11. A player who throws a ball at an opposing players head will be given one official warning. If a second head hit occurs, the thrower will be taken out from that particular game.
