3-on-3 Basketball Rules
Regulation basketball rules will be used with the following additions:

1. There will be 3 players on the floor for each team.

2. Two collegiate basketball players (past or present) are allowed on each roster. The intramural definition of a collegiate athlete is someone that has participated on an intercollegiate team at either the JV or the Varsity level. Incoming freshman are considered a collegiate player.

3. There will be no officials. Offensive players must call the fouls and violations. Be reasonable and accept the calls of others.

4. Games will be played half-court with out-of-bounds being marked by the normal out-of-bounds on the sides and baseline and the half-court line on top.

5. Games will be played the best 2 out of 3 games to fifteen, win by 2 with a cap of seventeen. Made three-point shots are worth 2 points and all other shots are worth 1 point.

6. A forfeit will be called by the supervisor if there are not three players present ten minutes after the scheduled starting time. The supervisor’s decision is final.

7. The ball will be checked at the top of the key after every foul, violation, or out-of-bounds. The ball will be put in play by passing it in (i.e. you can’t dribble after a check-in).

8. The first team on the schedule will be considered the home team and will be given the choice of the ball first or shirts or skins. The loser of the first game will get the ball to start the second game.

9. If a third game is needed, the supervisor will flip a coin to determine who gets the ball first.

10. The roster addition deadline is at the end of the third week of play. Additions must be turned into the intramural office before the player is eligible to play.

11. The supervisor on duty has the authority to call technical fouls or take any other form of disciplinary action. The supervisor’s judgment is final.
